Event Information
Our Girard SF ride base offers rustic bush camping facilities, toilets and good hot showers. Water at the Ride Base is normally pumped from Crooked Ck and is suitable for horse water, strapping and showers. Water on track is provided at Check Points. Strapping from horse drinking troughs is strictly forbidden. Natural water points may be limited due to current drought conditions. Please BYO drinking water.
Please keep your camp compact and only use what water you need.
Catering will be available by Gourmet Drovers, offering a camp oven dinner 6:30pm Saturday night following Saturday ride presentations. Please prebook your tickets for this with your nominations.
The forest-based course is hilly, compact and challenging in many ways for horse and rider. Track elevation ranges from 640-980m asl (Base is 720m asl). There are many ups and downs as each leg winds its way back to Base in ever decreasing circles. The tracks have been heavily marked at every intersection to guide you safely through to Check Points and Base. Always follow the colour of the leg you are riding looking forward to find arrows and never looking behind. You can view our ride leg details on our website - terc.com.au/about-3 Saturday 40km will be black leg - Sunday 60km is a 40km elevator will be red leg then blue - Saturday 20km blue leg The 80km will be red leg then black leg; 100km red, black, then blue. The track will be open from 12noon - 5pm Saturday and from 2am to 2pm Sunday. Saturday ride presentations will be at 6:00pm prior to the camp oven dinner. Sunday ride presentations will be at 3pm.
