Dogs: must be secured or on a leash attached to a person or fixed object at all times. No campsite reservations. Fires: limited bins will be provided by Foresty - no individual fires. No catering provided.
Ride Base Open: Sat 18th 9:00 AM to Sun 19th 5:00 PM
Ponderosa Campground - at the end of Starkey Road which is accessed via Cricks Mill Road
Ride Office Open: Sat 18th 11:00 AM to Sun 19th 5:00 PM
Temperature Log: All horses require a 4 day temperature log - 3 days prior to event + day of event prior to travel - see Horse Health Declaration form attached
Refund Policy: Refunds are available minus a $20 administration fee where ride entries are cancelled via AERAOnline by 11:59pm on the Friday before the event - for full details please see refund policy attached
Event Information
Join us at the Mount Crawford Forest for another picturesque ride that we all love!
The course is likely to include a few hills but otherwise the usual Ponderosa forestry tracks we all know and love. We are making a few course adjustments due to dog sledding now being held on the same date, so be aware they are out there, but hopefuly we won't run into them!
Claire Pearce (ride organiser) is sponsoring this event through her small business, Nesty Boxes, and her dad has also chipped in through Hills Farm Supplies. They’ll be offering a free 20kg bag of equine feed to every rider who completes, no matter the division or distance, so we really encourage everyone to give it a go.
ENTRIES- get your entries in before 13 July 2026 at 10pm to recieve the $30 EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT - please note the discount is applied at checkout - so take the $30 in your mind when looking at the entry fee!

All riders must have a current Forestry Horse Riding Permit, either an Annual / Day Permit - visit https://forestrysa1.rezdy.com/catalog/374170/horse-riding and keep a record of your booking/permit number
DAY MEMBERSHIP $50 for Adults and $40 for children payable for all non-members of SAERA this is automatically included in the relevant entry fee category - so check which applies to you.
All rubbish, manure and hay to be bagged and taken home.
