Event Information
Widgee offers spectacular tracks with tremendous views and will provide a challenge for ellite athletes. It is recommended that horses feet are padded.
Camping - please ensure that yards are compliant with the AERA RulebookRule 54. The Rulebook is available on the AERA website - aera.asn.au. There are no powered sites. Toilets and showers with hot water.
THERE IS NO EARLY SET UP OF CAMPS AND YOU RISK BEING ASKED TO MOVE IF YOU SET UP YARDS BEFORE OFFICIALS ARE ON SITE.
Electronic Timing System will be operating so please bring your time cards for those members who have been issued witih them - spare cards will be available for non-members. AERA ETS cards are operational in all states.
Water taps are available throughout the grounds and tubs will be avilable in the strapping area.
Catering The Widgee Bushman's Bar has a reputation for providing great meals. This is a licenced facility so no BYO when you are dining in. This group will offer dinner on Friday and Saturday, and breakfust / brunch on Saturday.
JoJo Coffee Coaster will be on site from Friday afternoon.
Widgee General Store supplies fuel, gas and firewood and also offers a range of snacks and meals - opening hours are 5.30 am to 7.00 pm Monday to Saturday and 6.30 am to 3.00 pm on Sunday.
Access to showgrounds - Friday from 1.00 pm.
Horse manure must be gathered up and either taken away or placed in the trailer provided. General rubbish should be taken away.
Riders - please assist us by returning bibs and timing cards before you leave the grounds.
