Dogs: Dogs must be kept contained or on a leash at all times. If you think your dog will bark when you go out on course, please leave it at home.. No campsite reservations. Refund Policy: Full refunds will be paid up until 11:59pm, 27 September 2026 via AERAOnline Entry. After that date, requests for refunds will be to the Ride Secretary, via Email - canobolasendurance@gmail.com. Any agreed refunds will be then be refunded after the Events.
Event Information
RIDE BASE: FOUR MILE CREEK ROAD, PANUARA NSW 2800 (coordinates for ride base in Event Forms) Closest shops, fuel and accommodation - Orange NSW.
CATERING - as per Blackboard Menus opening Friday 2nd October for dinner. Dinner meals can be pre-booked and paid via AERAOnline. Bookings close 27Sept26. See Menu Options in Event Forms. Canteen will open Friday afternoon and close on Monday morning after breakfast.
COURSE - designed to be achievable for the horse with some fitness. There will be undulating climbing through the Canobolas State Forest, interspersed with great travelling through farming country and Newmont Mining country. It is advisable that horses be shod in some form. There will be a number of road crossings where horses must give way to any vehicular traffic at all times. All horses will be asked to walk across the bitumen roads as a matter of safety.

INTRODUCTORY 20KM RIDE – Information in Event Forms • AERA Standard Vetting – 55bpm in 30 minutes • Entries & pre-ride vetting can be completed on either Saturday afternoon commencing from 3pm; or on Sunday from 7-8am. If you enter and vet on Saturday, you must camp at the Ride Base overnight, • Compulsory pre-ride briefing for 20km ride commences Sunday at 8am. Please attend without your horse. • 20km ride commences Sunday at 0900am EDST, (unless advised otherwise). • Presentations will be Sunday at approx. 4pm.
INTERMEDIATE 40KM RIDE – Information in Event Forms
• AERA Standard Vetting – 55bpm in 30 minutes
• Entries will commence when the office opens Saturday at 10am; & pre-ride vetting will commence Saturday from 3pm to 5pm.
• All horses entered in the 40km ride must camp at the ride base overnight, on Saturday night.
• Compulsory pre-ride briefing for the 40km ride will commence Saturday at 5.30pm.
• Presentations will be Sunday at approx. 4pm.
SCHEDULE OF ENDURANCE EVENTS – • 160KM & FEI 3* YOUTH/OPEN • 120KM & FEI 2* YOUTH/OPEN • 100KM & FEI 3* YOUTH/OPEN • 80KM AERA STANDALONE **
MATAR BULLIO CUP WILL BE AWARDED TO THE 1ST SUCCESSFUL AERA 160KM HWT/MWT OR 3* OPEN RIDER.
Note: Equal winners will only be recognised with AERA horses only.
All endurance events will be run using VGIH 64bpm with two opportunities in 15 minutes at each vet check, and one opportunity in 20mins at the final vet check.
Awards for 1st-3rd Place and Best Conditioned will be awarded to each endurance event on the schedule.
Note – no novice horse or rider can enter an event greater than 120kms.
** The 80km AERA Standalone event will be 3 legs of 40/20/20 using VGIH as vetting above.

IMPORTANT - Any FEI Rider or Horse entering their first FEI event MUST complete the Endurance Standard Novice Classification forms for Horse and/or Rider found on the EA website and email back to EA
FEI Attendees ONLY - on arrival, check in with the FEI Ground Jury to have your horse inspected. FEI Entrants – ensure yards comply with EA requirements.
Once the ride commences, FEI horses will be required to complete hold times in the allocated FEI hold areas that will be in line of sight of FEI officials.
Stabling requirements for 3* horses will be advised direct by the President of the Ground Jury.
PRESENTATIONS for 160/120/100/80 & all FEI events will be on Monday at approx. 9.00am after the Best Conditioned workouts. There will be a lucky draw prize, drawn from all successful entrants that are at the Presentations.
