Please follow directions provided, do not follow your GPS. Ride base must be accessed from Shiralee Trail via LismoreSt onto Bathurst St Abermain. NO access from Bathurst St on the Sawyers Gully side.
Ride Office Open: Sat 28th 11:30 AM to Sun 29th 4:00 PM
all 40/60km and 80km riders must attend the office on Saturday to collect bibs and finalise entries. 20km riders can arrive on Saturday but the office will open for collection of 20km bibs only from 6.30am on Sunday 29 April.
Temperature Log: per AERA rules
Refund Policy: 100% refund for cancellations notified before 11.59pm on Monday 23 March, 50% refund until 11.59pm on Wednesday 25 March. From 26 March refund only of the affiliation fee payable to NSWERA. If you need to cancel after 26 March, please contact us.

Welcome to the 2026 Watagans at Werakata Ride. Please help us with planning by entering as soon as possible.

The intermediate ride is a 40/60 elevator ride. After passing the vet check at 40km, you can choose to not continue, The 60km ride is a great step up between 40 and 80km for those who pass the 40km vet check and choose to continue. No new entries will be taken at the ride. We will accept changes to riders and horses up to when entries are finalised at the office, as long as a nomination is made before the close date. All 40/60 elevator and 80km horses must be pre ride vet checked on Saturday. 20km horses only, can be vet checked on Sunday from 7am. All 40/60 km and 80km horses and riders must camp on the ride base overnight on Saturday. 20km riders and horses can arrive on Sunday morning if they wish. New entrants are welcome to contact us for advice about camping with your horse, yards ect. If you have any issues or questions with prenominating, or want to discuss cancellation with us, please contact us.

Please: bring human drinking water bring horse drinking water if you plan to arrive on Friday, we will have horse water available from Saturday morning, or late friday if possible bring bags for your rubbish and take it home with you campfires will be allowed if fire conditions are safe. We will advise on this closer to the ride. IF fires are allowed, they must be off the ground, in fire drums and supervised at all times. note the directions to the ride base provided here. Don't follow your GPS.
