Event Information
The ACT Endurance Riders Association Inc. will host an 80km endurance ride and 40km, 22km and 13km rides on Sunday 19 October 2025, at ‘Brookvale’ on the outskirts of Canberra. Come and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and bush scenery at Brookvale!
All 80 and 40 klm riders must enter on Saturday. 22km and 13 km riders may enter and vet early on Sunday morning.

80 km: 5.00 am 40 km: 6.00 am 22 km: 9.30 am 13 km: 10.00 am
RIDE BASE
Ride base: Brookvale is a no-frills campsite in a picturesque valley with a creek running through it.
Facilities are basic, with bush and hire toilets and horse water (creek) available. You will need to bring your own drinking water for camp site and on track.
If you bring a dog please keep it on a lead at all times. No dogs in or near the vetting area or office. No fires. Patchy phone coverage.
COURSE
Both legs of the 80km ride are challenging but less hilly than in the past. All legs of the new course and the shorter rides pass mainly through Uriarra and Sherwood Forests and private property with great views of the surrounding areas. Horses must not be washed in streams in the lower Cotter Catchment area. All rides are generally good underfoot, with some rocky patches. There is no bitumen. As a safety precaution we suggest that riders download the EmergencyPlus on their phones which which send an ambulance alert to a geolocation.
CATERING
Snax on Trax Café will provide the canteen service. Saturday night meals can be booked online even if you are not riding. Drinks and food availble from Saturday to Sunday afternoon. Please see attached menus.
DIRECTIONS
The ‘Brookvale’ property is at 372 Mountain Creek Road, about 30 minutes from Canberra. The ride base is 1.5km off Mountain Creek Road along Doctors Flat Road: signage from Uriarra Road.
DO NOT approach from the Wee Jasper/Brindabella National Park direction as Doctor’s Flat Road has locked gates and is unsuitable for floats. Mountain Creek Road from Yass direction is also not recommended.
