Event Information
For all those riders wanting to enter the 7km, 20km and 40km rides and are not members of the NSW Endurance Riders Assoc, please see the Information attached on How to Enter the 7lkm, 20km & 40km. If you need any help or assistance, don't hesitate to contact Sonia, the ride secretary.
All 40km, 20km & 7km rides will vet using standard AERA vetting of 55bpm with a max. of 30mins to go to the vets for their vet check at the end of the ride.
Full refunds can be obtained via AERAOnline up until 27th March 2026. After that time, refunds will be considered via email discussion to canobalasendurance@gmail.com and any agreed refunds will be made after the event.
Saturday Events - 7km 20km 40km
Sunday Events - 20km 40km AERA 80-100-120km Elevator incorporating 1* and 2* Youth/Open Categories
The overall line honours winner of the Event will be the first successful MWT and/or HWT combinations finishing 120kms or 2* Open successful combination. Please note if a 2* Open rider is considering being competitive for line Honours, they must weight 73kg and over at the weigh-in before, during and after the event. Line honours can be shared between AERA riders. However, there can be no shared lined honours if one of the riders is a 2*Open rider. A safe gallop finish will be provided.
The AERA Elevator and 2* & 1* categories will be run under the FEI Vet Gate Into Hold Procedures as per FEI rules. Please read the attached CEI/FEI Summary Vetting & Events Requirements in the Attached Forms. Essentially, after crossing the line and entering the strapping/crewing area each horse has two opportunities to reach 64bpm in 15 mins during the ride, and one opportunity to reach 64bpm in 20mins at the end of the ride. If a horse does not meet this criteria, it will be considered a vet out.
CEI/FEI Horses have the same two opportunities to reach 64bpm in 15mins during the ride. However, if a CEI/FEI horse takes 10mins or more to achieve 64bpm but does so in 15mins, it will be asked to represent prior to going out on the next leg. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO AERA HORSES. However, please be aware that it's the vet's preogative to ask any horse to represent prior to going out on course.
CEI/FEI - Information: If you are enter your first CEI 1* event, Pathways for registration and passport applications is attached in forms. Attached is summary information for vetting and entry information for CEI/FEI riders/trainers.
A compulsory hold area will be set up for all CEI/FEI horses to use during their compulosry hold times during their event. This area will be in line of sight of FEI officials as per FEI requirements.Before and after completion of the ride, CEI/FEI horses can use their normal yards.
This does not apply to AERA horses, who may return to their yards for their compulsory hold times during the ride.
The showground is located on Yootha Road, when coming from the Newell Hwy end entering the township, please take the first right hand onto Murray Street which will lead directly to the grounds. Multiple gates will allow you to turn off into the right hand paddock for camping.
Tooraweenah Showground has hot showers and flushing toilets, there is limited powered sites for volunteers only.
Please when entering pay for your campsite and also select Catering if you would like a meal Saturday night.
The CWA will be catering fromSaturday mid morning to Sunday afternoon. Outside of these times please bring own supplies or purchase meals at the Mountain View Hotel which is in walking distance from the showground.
