Event Information

KCER are looking forward to welcoming you to our first ride from the Urbenville Showgrounds.

Ride base opens on Friday 2nd May from Midday. Do not arrive any earlier as we do not have permission to have you on site before this time. There are no powered campsites, but there are taps throughout the camping area to access water. All camping is to be on the left hand side of the showgrounds, away from the arena. No camping is permitted on the right hand side of the ride base as this is course access.

IMPORTANT LOCAL RULE: If you are pre-riding on Saturday, you must lead your horse on foot along Clarence Way up to Jim's place (we'll show you where when you are here). There you can mount up (a mounting block will be provided) and ride the training loop, or you can head out on track to exercise your horse. Not following this local rule may lead to disqualification.

BIOSECURITY: Please ensure you meet your biosecurity obligations for fire ants and ticks. Xanthe Webb is available to spray horses at Mount Lindsay on Saturday. You MUST book in advance through Xanthe. Ph: 0431155907 Email: webbxanthe@gmail.com $50 per horse.

HAY PROVIDER: If you would like to order hay for the event that comes from a "clean zone" you can contact Michael Schofield on 0427105402. All orders must be in by Monday 28th April to ensure the hay will be there. If you order after that date there is no guarantee there will be hay available.

Catering by the Urbenville Trust will be available Saturday morning to mid afternoon and Sunday morning to lunch time. They will provide home made cakes/muffins, hot chips and sandwiches. Cash only. Coffee by Coffee Addiction will be on site from mid morning to mid afternoon Saturday, and Sunday morning to lunch time. Cash or card accepted. Saturday evening meals at the Urbenville Bowls club can be pre-ordered with your ride nominations. You have a choice of two mains and two desserts. Please support our caterers.

The ride will be VGIH for all events and a communal strapping area will be allocated near the arena.

Please remove all rubbish from camping areas.

There is a map of the Urbenville showgrounds in the Event Forms. This is the proposed layout of the ride base. These details will be confirmed after we have held our working bee at the grounds in the week before the ride.
